Weymouth Whole Foods Opens With Bread Breaking Ceremony

Despite overcast skies and drizzle, a long line of excited shoppers gathered at the Pleasant Shops Plaza in South Weymouth for the "bread breaking" event and grand opening of the new Whole Foods Market.

The 40,000-square-foot store at 35 Pleasant Street opened on Wednesday morning, July 10, and will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The store will employ 140 people, including 80 from the Weymouth area.
