Weymouth High School Graduation Delayed, But Outside

Weymouth High School graduation will be outside on Saturday, June 8, but due to the weather, will be pushed back to begin at noon.

The event, which was originally slated to start at 10 a.m., will now be outside at Sgt. Jeffrey E. Mullin field, as originally scheduled.

"Based on the weather forecast and our desire to include as many proud relatives and friends in the celebration of our graduates, there will be a two hour delay for the graduation ceremony," wrote Principal Laura Stevenson on Friday afternoon.

The stadium will likely still be wet so attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately. 

Saturday’s morning forecast calls for showers before 8 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. The rest of the morning is expected to be cloudy ith a high near 68 degrees.
