Weymouth PD Announces Officer Michael Chesna Family Fund
The Weymouth Police Department has released details on how you can help the family of Officer Michael Chesna.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Donations are now being accepted for a fund for the family of Officer Michael Chesna. The Weymouth Police Department announced Monday that an account has been set up at Equitable Bank to assist the family.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Chesna family can make checks payable to the “Officer Michael Chesna Family Fund. Checks can be mailed to or dropped off at the Weymouth Police Station, 140 Winter St., Weymouth 02188.
This is the only official fund. Donors are advised to be aware of possible scams that claim to be collecting money for Chesna.

Chesna died Sunday morning after responding to a reported hit and run on Route 18. He was shot by the suspect, identified as Emanuel Lopes of Weymouth.
