Weymouth Ranked Among Lowest Property Tax Bills in the State

You may know this based on your yearly bills, but when it comes to property taxes, Weymouth is a bargain.

According to new numbers released by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Weymouth has the 42nd lowest property tax bill in the commonwealth with an average of $3.986.

The cheapest bill goes to Athol with an average of $2,451 according to WCVB.

Residents, however, may vote to raise their taxes next week. Voters will head to the polls on Aug. 4 to decide whether the town should receive a proposition 2 1/2 override of $6.5 million.
