Wrong-Way Route 3 Driver In Custody After Running From State Troopers
A wrong-way driver is due in court after police say he led them on a multi-town chase up Route 3 from Plymouth before crashing in Weymouth.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he was driving the wrong way down Route 3 on the South Shore early Tuesday morning.
Massachusetts State Troopers say they found a man driving north in the southbound lanes on Route 3 in Plymouth.
Both troopers and officers in the area tried to chase after the driver, who took them on a chase into Weymouth. Police say the man eventually crashed the car on Pleasant Street in Weymouth and ran off, trying to avoid police.

The man was eventually apprehended just before 6 a.m.
Officers say the man was taken to a nearby hospital and will be summonsed to court at a later date.
