Public Safety Dispatcher, Wilmington Police and Fire

Reporting to the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor, the Public Safety Dispatcher is responsible for providing the public with the quickest possible response to requests for police and fire emergency and general services by efficiently and diligently dispatching messages to the field units. Position also provides aid and support to the police officers and firefighters by ensuring that messages are clear, concise and timely.

Salary: $695.95 -$906.32 per week

Hours: Depending on shift assignment. Work schedule is 4 days on, 2 days off. Shifts are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Senior Clerk, Accountant’s Office

Reporting to the Town Accountant, the senior clerk position is responsible for providing higher level clerical support of a more-than-ordinary-difficulty to department heads and staff.

Salary: $38,452. to $48,656

Hours: 35 Hours, Monday - Friday

Night Electrician, Department of Public Buildings

Reporting to the Superintendent of Public Buildings or designee, the Night Electrician is a skilled electrician that has a thorough understanding of the electrical trade and is knowledgeable in the use of all tools and instruments of the trade. Responsible for the safe condition, maintenance and proper function of all electrical systems, equipment and for all other work as assigned by the Public Buildings Department.

Salary: $1,134.40 to $1,327.60 per week

Hours: 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; School Vacation Weeks: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
