Middlesex Sheriff's Office Announced Correction Officer Exam

Registration for the exam will be accepted through July 13.

The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office announced it is accepting registration for the upcoming Correction Officer Exam next month.

The MSO will be accepting registration for the exam through Monday, July 13. The exam is scheduled for Saturday, July 18.

“We are seeking qualified, motivated men and women interested in careers in corrections for our 39th Basic Training Academy,” Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian said in a release from the MSO.

Applicants must be at least 19 years old, a citizen of the United States and of the state of Massachusetts by the date of the exam in July, according to the sheriff’s office. Applicants are also required to have a high school degree or equivalent certificate and possess a valid driver’s license. A bachelor’s degree and previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
