Obituary - Kathleen M. Neuner
A wake will be held at Costello Funeral Home, on Sat., April 26, 2025, from 11AM–12:30PM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church at 1PM.
Kathleen M. Neuner (nee Stoeckl) died peacefully at home on March 19, 2025, at age 81. She is survived by her husband George, her children George II and Kathleen (Mark) Faulkner, her brother Joseph A. Stoeckl and his wife Joyce, sisters-in-law MaryAnn (Matt) Piazza and Kathleen (Don) Smith, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Andrew C. Stoeckl and Agnes M. (Stoeckl) Klaus, and by her brother Floyd A. Stoeckl and his wife Arline.
Kathy obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from D’Youville College and her Master’s
degree in Nursing from the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She worked at Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, NY, where she was Assistant Director of Nursing and in charge of the Emergency Room and Outpatient Care Department. She also
taught nursing at Northern Virginia Community College, and supervised nursing students at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia.
After moving to Winchester, MA, she quickly became involved with Winchester Hospital. She was an active member of both the Friends of Winchester Hospital and the Winton Club, and President of
Friends (1983-1985) and Winton Club (1992-1994). She was also a corporator of Winchester
Hospital and served on the Hospital Board and its various committees.

A wake will be held at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington Street, Winchester, MA, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 1:00 PM.
