Police Logs April 12 to April 15

The following information was supplied by the Winchester Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Thursday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m.: A Jaguar backed out of the driveway on Hemingway Street and failed to see the oncoming Kia Sportage. This resulted in a collision.

Friday, April 13, at 9:24 a.m.:  Resident of 1026 Main St. reported that on April 12, they left Red Sox tickets in an envelope taped above the mailbox between 1:30 and 2 p.m. for a client. The client called to report that they could not find the tickets. The tickets were valued at $94 each.

Friday, April 13, at 4:01 p.m.: Minors were observed entering the woods near the water tower on Andrews Road with cases of beer. The youths could be heard throughout the woods as they were being very loud and not very subtle. The DPW was asked to dismantle the hut made of sticks next to the water tower. They were charged with minor possession of alcohol.

Friday, April 13, at 11:52 p.m.: The operator of a Red Nissan was swerving on Mount Vernon Street. The driver was not under the influence of alcohol and claimed to be looking for directions on his cell phone. The driver did not have a license and used their passport for I.D. The car was towed and the driver walked.

Saturday, April 14, at 1:34 p.m.: Driver hit the guard rail on Route 3 southbound in Burlington and tried to drive home when the vehicle stopped running. Two occupants were uninjured; one was taken to Winchester Hospital to be evaluated. Mal’s Towing towed the car away.

Saturday, April 14, at 8:16 a.m.: A Jeep Cherokee was traveling east on Pond Street when an officer recognized the vehicle and knew the driver’s license was suspended. The driver made arrangements with their mother to come get them. The driver was issued a criminal citation for driving with a suspended license.

Sunday, April 15, at 7:13 a.m.: Vandalism on a vehicle on Richardson Road. Right rear and left front tires slashed. Passenger and driver’s side doors keyed.

Sunday, April 15, at 9:39 a.m.: Two players in a men’s soccer game got into a small fight at Skilling’s Field.

Sunday, April 15, at 5:43 p.m.: An abandoned baby stroller was found on Common and Church Streets. No baby in it.
