Winchester Blanked by Malden Catholic, 14-0

The Winchester Sachems dropped their first game of the 2015 season on Friday night, losing an away contest to the Malden Catholic Lancers, 14-0.

After crushing the Wilmington Wildcats in their season opening game last week, 29-6, the Sachems offense was stifled by a well-coached Lancers defensive unit.

The Winchester defense held their own as they continued to impress through two games. They’ve allowed just 20 points through eight quarters of play this season.

The Sachems will next be in action on Friday, Sept. 25, against the Reading Rockets.
