Winchester Natives Graduate from Colgate University

A pair of Winchester natives recently graduated from the university in New York State.

A pair of Winchester natives recently graduated from Colgate University in New York State.

According to the University, the following two town natives received their diplomas at Colgate’s 194th commencement ceremony on May 17:

  • Suzanne Brewster, who majored in Sociology and Anthropology and is a graduate of Winchester High School.
  • Kristen Weiner, who majored in Neuroscience and is a graduate of Winchester High School.

The keynote speaker at the commencement ceremony was Eddie S. Glaude Jr., the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American studies and the chair of the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University.

Colgate University, located in Hamilton, New York, is a liberal arts institution that offers 54 majors to a student body of approximately 2,900 undergraduate students, and supports 25 Division I athletic teams.
