28th Annual Step Out for Hospice Walk/Run This Sunday

Hundreds of area residents are expected at Step Out for Hospice this Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Irish American Club of Woburn to raise vital funds for end-of-life care provided by VNA Hospice & Palliative Care.

Step Out for Hospice features a free 1-Mile Fun Run at 11:30 a.m. for children ages 13 and under. Prizes and a limited number of T-shirts will be available for Fun Run participants.

The 3-Mile Walk starts at noon, and 5-mile Road Race at 12:30 pm. Participants are invited to enjoy the post-Walk/Run festivities, including live music by The Offramps, refreshments, raffle, live auction and more.

Preregister for the Walk or Road Race for a discounted fee of $30 through Saturday, Oct. 4. Students may register for the Walk or Road Race for $15. The Fun Run is free; preregistration is appreciated. For more information and registration, visit www.vnacare.org/stepout.

Register on the day of the event at the Irish American Club of Woburn beginning at 10 a.m. The day-of entry fee is $40 and $15 for students.

Step Out for Hospice benefits VNA Hospice & Palliative Care, a nonprofit organization established in 1979. The agency is dedicated to enabling terminally ill individuals to live with dignity throughout their end-of-life journey and providing loved ones with much needed support before and after their loss.
