Armed Robbery Reported at 7-11 Sunday Morning

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
August 4-
At 6:52 a.m. police responded to the 7-11 convenience store at 173 Cambridge Road on a report of a robbery.
Police spoke to the owner and his daughter. The owner said a male party entered the store and grabbed a few items and came to the register where his daughter was working.

She said the male leaned over the counter and displayed a knife. She said the man then told her to “give me the money.” She handed over between $300 and $400. The male then fled the store and ran towards Russell Street.
The daughter described the man as a chubby white male in his fifties wearing a blue shirt and black shorts and a black cap and had a goatee. He was over 6 feet tall and over 300 pounds.

August 3-
At 10:16 a.m. a man came to the station to report a past breaking and entering of his motor vehicle. He said that late on August 2 someone entered his car, which was parked on Rumford Park Avenue, and stole his iPhone 5. The man said the vehicle was locked but there were no signs of a forced entry.
At 1:55 p.m. a woman came to the station to report a past fraud. She said she had attempted to rent a house in New Hampshire through a Craigslist ad. She spoke to a man named Louis through email and eventually transferred $1,350 to the man she was interacting with. However, when she showed up at the house she did meet a man named Louis but he said that she hadn’t been speaking with him. He also said similar things had happened four times in the past.
August 4-
At 9:58 a.m. police responded to a Spring Court Extension residence on a report of a stolen bicycle. The caller said her son’s bike had been taken from the backyard outside their apartment. The bike was worth about $120.
