Boyfriend Of Slain Woburn Woman Due In Court

WOBURN, MA — The boyfriend of a Woburn woman who was found dead in a marsh on the side of the highway in Saugus earlier this week will appear in court Thursday.

Bruce Maiben, 44, is expected to appear in Lynn District Court on charges of larceny over $1,200, tampering with evidence, and obstruction of justice in the investigation of the death of Sherell Pringle, 40, the Essex District Attorney's Office said.

Maiben was arrested Wednesday night but has not been charged with the death of Pringle at this time. It is unclear if he has an attorney.

Pringle was reported missing by her son Sunday after not returning home from a date Saturday night. Her body was later found in the marsh off Route 107 on Tuesday. Essex District Attorney Jon Blodgett's office said foul play was suspected.
