Bruins Honor Woburn Navy Submarine Service Chief

Michael Larson has served for 17 years in the United States Navy Submarine Service.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn’s Michael Larson received special recognition over the weekend from the Boston Bruins via the team’s “8-Spoked Salute” program.

The Bruins announced the honor on Sunday, sharing a photo of Larson and thanking him for his service.

Larson is a Chief in the United States Navy Submarine Service. He has won six Navy achievement medals and one Navy commendation medal across 17 years in the Navy, as noted by the Bruins.

The 8-Spoked Salute program identifies active duty, guard or reserve members of the United States Armed Forces to be recognized after each home game in the 2022-2023 Bruins season. Honorees get a shoutout on Bruins social media channels and four loge tickets to a Bruins game.

Individuals can nominate a service member to receive the 8-Spoked Salute through the Bruins website.
