Children Can Make a Family Tree at Woburn Public Library Today

Five things to know in Woburn today.

Today is Thursday, August 1. Here are five things to know: 

1) Mostly sunny today, possible storms tonight 

Looks like another nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect some morning fog but after that mostly sunny skies with a high near 82 degrees. There is an 80 percent chance of some rain today and a possibility of thunderstorms, mostly after 8 p.m. 

2) Parks & Rec. 

Woburn's Recreation Commission is meeting today at 7 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Engineers Conference Room. 

3) Make a family tree 

The Woburn Public Library is holding a Genealogy for Kids program at 2 p.m. today. Children ages six and up are invited to come in and make a family tree. 

4) Baby songs

The Woburn Public Library is also hosting a Baby Songs program at 9:30 a.m. Join musician James Lepler on the library lawn for a morning of entertainment. 

5) Hawk monitoring Woburn PD
