Dirty Diapers, Animal Waste Found In Barrel In Woburn Pond

WOBURN, MA — Crews in Woburn were frustrated to find a barrel full of animal waste and dirty diapers in Horn Pond in town on Sunday, according to the Woburn IAFF 971 firefighters union.

Local firefighters responded on Sunday morning to help city Department of Public Works personnel remove what the union described as a trash barrel in the pond.

The barrel contained a mix of waste. Firefighters said on Sunday that they believed it was thrown into the pond the previous night.
