Free R&B Music Coming to Horn Pond Friday, August 15
SCI Horn Pond Summer Concert Series
On Friday, July 25, 150 community members gathered at Horn Pond’s scenic Ice House Park to enjoy the second performance of the 2025 SCI Summer Concert Series, headlined by alt-folk singer-songwriter Everly Estelle (Instagram: @everlyestellemusic). The Lowell-based artist and her talented band brought a dynamic set that blended heartfelt lyrics and crowd-friendly energy with '90s and 2000s nostalgia and original music. This free event was sponsored by Lamacchia Realty, which brought snacks and swag for the crowd to enjoy.
Concertgoers of all ages relaxed on blankets and lawn chairs as they soaked in the music, warm weather, and community atmosphere. Beyond music, the evening guests enjoyed refreshments courtesy of Empower Cafes Woburn, lawn games, and SCI’s Social Connection Bingo, an activity designed to encourage conversations among neighbors. Each completed bingo card doubled as a raffle entry, and three lucky winners took home an NFL New England Patriots Little People playset, an SCI t-shirt and mindfulness journal, or a water squirt toy and mini fan.
The SCI Horn Pond Summer Concert Series wraps up on Friday, August 15, with a final performance by J-Renee (www.jordanrbrown.com), bringing a unique blend of alt-R&B, neo-soul, and experimental pop. This concert is sponsored by Reading Cooperative Bank. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact David Crowley at dcrowley@socialcapitalinc.org for more information.
All concerts are free to the public and take place from 6-8pm at Ice House Park, located at the Sturgis Street end of Horn Pond. Bring lawn chairs and come ready for music and connection! For updates, including weather-related announcements, visit SCIWoburn.org or follow SCI Woburn on Facebook.
