Help Out With a Donation of School Supplies for Foster Care Children

Five things to know today.

Today is Tuesday, July 30. Here are five things to know: 

1) Sunny today and cool(ish) tonight 

Looks like a nice day today and a comfortable night for sleeping. The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies with a high near 84 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 59. 

2) Help foster children get ready for school  

Devereux Therapeutic Foster Care, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 3700, Woburn is accepting donations of new backpacks, lunch boxes and school supplies to help our kids start the new school year. Gift cards are always accepted as well. 

3) Special education discussion 

The Woburn Special Education Parent Advisory Council is holding a gathering at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Sea Dog Brew Pub. The purpose is to get community feedback and discuss and respond to a report about Woburn Public Schools Special Education Department and services. Click here for more information

4) Word game fun 

The Woburn Public Library is holding a Scrabble session for kids in grades 4-8 at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon. Come on down and play. 

5) "I'm a paperback writer"
