High School Football: Woburn Crushes Lexington to Earn First Win

The Tanners rolled past Lexington on Friday night to earn their first win of the season.

After two disappointing weeks, the Woburn Tanners finally earned their first win of the season, beating the Lexington Minutemen by a score of 30-7 Friday night.

The Tanners may have posted 30 points in the contest, but it was there defense which impressed the most. Lexington had scored a total of 48 points through their first two games. Woburn’s defense hunkered down and did not allow a touchdown until the final minute of the game.

Woburn set the tone early, scoring a touchdown on the opening drive. They would later add a punt return touchdown and another score through the air. Their defense also forced an interception.
