J. Geils Band Bassist To Perform In Woburn on Friday

The classic rock stylings of Danny Klein's Full House arrive at the Scoreboard Sports Bar on May 8.

Normally, Woburn fans of the J. Geils Band have to travel to a bigger city, pay for expensive tickets, and probably put up with the ‘70s rock quartet playing a truncated opening set before one of their more famous contemporaries takes the stage as the headlining act.

Making matters worse, J. Geils isn’t even in the J. Geils band anymore. To see the original lineup, Woburn residents will need a time machine.

So could it be possible that a live performance from a J.Geils Band tribute act - like the one at the Scoreboard Sports Bar and Grill on Friday - has become, in many ways, potentially more enjoyable than a concert by the actual J. Geils Band? Or at least much more convenient?

Better yet - what about a tribute band featuring the honest-to-god real J. Geils Band bassist?

Such is the entertainment scheduled for May 8 at Scorecard, when founding J. Geils bassist Danny Klein joins the rest of Danny Klein’s Full House to perform J. Geils tunes.
