Menorah Lighting Planned In Woburn
Event attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the city's Council of Social Concern Food Pantry, if possible.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn community members will celebrate Hanukkah later this month with a community menorah lighting, the city announced last week.
The lighting is set for Thursday, Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Woburn Common. It will include music and a slate of family activities, as noted in the city’s announcement.
Organizers have asked community members to bring non-perishable items to donate to the food pantry at the Woburn Council of Social Concern, if possible.

Hanukkah will run from Dec. 18 to Dec. 26 this year.
Woburn holiday celebrations previously got underway last month with the return of the city’s Festival on the Common celebration. The season continues this month with a handful of other community events across the region.
