Monday Essentials: Officer DeNapoli Benefit Bill Up for Debate at City Council

Five things to know about this upcoming week.

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:

1) Cooler week until Friday

Looks like mostly a comfortable week temperature-wise. According to the National Weather Service most days this week will be in the 75-78 degree range with the temperatures hitting the 80s on Friday. We can also expect mostly sunny skies with a chance of rain on Thursday.

2) Officer DeNapoli benefit bill

According to a meeting notice sent out by City Clerk William Campbell, the bill on Officer Robert DeNapoli's benefit package will be taken up during the City Council meeting starting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. The officer was shot multiple times during a robbery in 2011. Mayor Galvin will present a new version of the bill. Woburn Patch will have a story with the details Tuesday morning and will be covering, and live Tweeting, the meeting. Stay tuned.

3) Antique evaluation

James D. Julia Auctioneers is hosting an event featuring free antique appraisals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
