Monday Essentials: Traditional Irish Music at Horn Pond

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week: 

1) Comfortable summer days 

The outlook for this week's weather looks good. According to theNational Weather Service after some rain and possible thunderstorms today and tonight we can expect a week of mostly sunny skies with temps in the low 80s. The nights will be comfortable for sleeping with lows in the low 60s. 

2) Concert at Horn Pond 

The Traditional Irish Folk Music group The McTeggart's will be performing at Horn Pond this Friday at 6 p.m. The show is free. Come down and enjoy the performance. 
3) Word games

The Woburn Public Library will be holding a Scrabble session for children in grades 4 to 8 on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. 

4) Songs for the little ones 

The library will also be hosting a BabySongs event on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Join musician James Lepler on the library lawn for some fun children songs. 

5) Special education discussion 

The Woburn Special Education Parent Advisory Council is holding a gathering at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sea Dog Brew Pub. The purpose is to get community feedback and discuss and respond to a report about Woburn Public Schools Special Education Department and services. Click here for more information.
