New Community Partnership for Teen Engagement at Woburn Public Library
Through SCI's Leaders for Everyone's Tomorrow (LET) Program the Woburn Public Library will enhance on-site programming for teens.

Social Capital Inc. (SCI) and the Woburn Public Library (WPL) are announcing a new partnership to strengthen teen engagement at the Library starting Fall 2025. The partnership is financially supported by the Woburn Public Library Foundation.
Through SCI’s Leaders for Everyone’s Tomorrow (LET) Program the Woburn Public Library will enhance on-site programming for teens through mental health events, workshops and capacity building. The LET Program engages local high school students as paid interns and volunteers to address peer mental health through resources, inclusive events, educational workshops and a youth-managed mental health website (middlesex4mentalhealth.org). The WPL will also expand off-site programming for all ages by joining as a partnering with SCI on its annual Leaf Raking for Seniors and Summer Concert Series events, while continuing to co-lead Juneteenth Woburn for the sixth year on June 20th, 2026.
The partnership between the Woburn Public Library and SCI will innovate on the successful relationship established between the two organizations through the SCI AmeriCorps program from 2022 to 2025, also supported by the Woburn Public Library Foundation. Library Director, Hermayne Gordon, states that: “The WPL’s ongoing partnership with SCI not only enhances teen engagement but also advances our shared goal of building a stronger, more connected Woburn community.”

LET programming at the WPL is open to local teens (grades 6-12), and the first event was a kickoff social hosted on October 9th in the Maker Space where teens engaged with therapy dogs and learned about mental health resources. SCI is now recruiting Woburn students in grades 9-12 for out-of-school paid internships beginning January 2026.
