David J. O’Connor, the beloved son of Frederick P. and Jean M. (Aiken) O’Connor passed away at his home early Monday morning May 25th, amongst his beloved family. A lifelong resident of Woburn, David was forty-seven years of age.
One of six children, David was raised on the West Side of the city. Educated at the Reeves Elementary School, he went on to Dearborn Academy where he graduated high school.

During his elementary years and middle school David had participated as an altar server at his neighborhood church, St. Barbara’s. Throughout his lifetime, his family was first and foremost. David’s journey throughout his lifetime was surrounded with love, music and family.
He pretty much listened to music of all genres throughout the day. His most favorite though was KISS, a group which he followed from its inception! All of David’s siblings sent him on the KISS Cruise, which went out of Boston to Cozumel Island. This was a trip of a lifetime for David and was truly a dream come true!

As all of the O’Connor children were growing up, every summer the family ventured to Maine to spend several weeks at their cottage, where some truly wonderful times took place and memories were made. David also had a host of very dear and wonderfully caring friends with whom he shared his life.
In addition to his parents, David is lovingly survived by his siblings, Fred O’Connor and his wife Denise, Jean O’Connor, all of Woburn, Michael O’Connor of Arlington, Chris O’Connor of NJ, and Matthew O’Connor of Newton; his nieces and nephews, Brian, Courtney, Casey, Justin, and Kalen O’Connor; and his many wonderful and caring friends.
Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Friday, May 29th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 10. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Remembrances may be made in David’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
