Hurld-Wyman bus driver Mike Morse was in a severe car accident, according to the GoFundMe.

WOBURN, MA — Over $3,000 has been raised on GoFundMe for a Woburn bus driver who was injured in a severe car accident.
As of Tuesday morning, $3,665 has been raised for Hurld-Wyman Elementary bus driver Mike Morse.
"As some of you may have heard, 7 weeks ago, my children's bus driver, Mike Morse, was in a very severe car accident that resulted in him breaking his neck," organizer Lauren Burgess wrote. "He has not been able to work because of his injury. His wife was supposed to retire this year and now can not. He is not sure if or when he will be able to return to driving the school bus."

Forty-eight donors have given to the campaign, which has a goal of raising $5,000.
"Mike is a wonderful man. If it had not been for him, my son, who had severe anxiety about beginning Kindergarten, would have never gotten on the bus for the first 3 years of him attending school," Burgess wrote. "He would tell my son a joke, say something funny, or just reassure him that he would be ok. Mike knows every student's name. All of the kids adore him. He dresses as Santa every Christmas and always has a treat to give the kids here and there throughout the school year."

"Mike has become family to us," the organizer continued. "We are all devastated and are praying that he makes a full recovery. In the meantime, bills are still coming in and Mike and his family are in need of some help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your love and support."
