Paving Begins In Woburn Montvale Avenue Project
Paving was set to begin on Monday night and will continue on Tuesday night.
WOBURN, MA — Motorists in Woburn may run into paving work on Montvale Avenue near I-93 on Tuesday as crews continue ongoing operations in the area.
The state Department of Transportation announced paving plans on Monday. Work was scheduled to run from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday of this week, impacting areas on Montvale Avenue between Central Street and the I-93 interchange.
This is part of an ongoing MassDOT project to widen Montvale Avenue. While recent roadway milling began last month, state proposals to expand the busy Montvale Avenue date back roughly 20 years.
