POLICE LOG: Pedestrian's Foot Run Over in Hit and Run Accident

At 12:53 p.m. police responded to the corner of Main Street and Kilby Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian said she was walking on Main Street in the crosswalk when a vehicle came out of Kilby Street and ran over her right foot. The vehicle was a gold SUV with “7GA” in the license plate. The caller said that after the driver drove over her foot she threw her hands in the air before speeding off southwards on Main Street.
The pedestrian refused medical treatment.

May 28-
At 11:41 a.m. police responded to a Baldwin Green Common office on a report of identity theft. The caller said someone had hacked into the business’s email system and sent clients emails requesting $1,850 to help employees of the business get out the Philippines. The emails claimed they had been mugged and robbed while on vacation. The business was able to change the passwords and alerted AOL to the problem.
At 12:56 p.m. police responded to the veterinarian hospital on Cabot Road on a report of an inured worker. A man who had been on the roof to check the new roofing fell over when he went to throw some refuse onto the ground. He fell approximately 18 feet and landed on cement. Police held traction while waiting for Woburn Rescue. The man had a compound fracture on his lower left leg among other injuries. He was transported to Lahey Clinic.
At 1:54 p.m. a caller at Xyleco at 271 Salem Street requested medical aid. The caller said he had gotten a ammonium hydroxide in his eye. Police assisted with washing the eye out until Woburn Rescue arrived and took over treatment.
At 2:11 p.m. police responded to a Webster Avenue location on a report of fraud. The caller said she had received a letter from a woman named “Sonia Ritiel” who claimed to be a clairvoyant medium specializing as a “Big Win Specialist.” The letter stated that if the caller sent $40 to the clairvoyant she would win $33 million within two months, which the caller did. After a couple of weeks she had not received lottery numbers in return so asked for her check back. She received a copy of the cashed check and a letter stating she needed to send another $160 in order to get the winning numbers. At that point she called the police.
Police attempted to get in touch with “Ritiel” but the address was a P.O. Box at a UPS store in Boston.
At 4:53 p.m. police responded to a Minot Street apartment on a report of vandalism. The caller said she is in the process of moving out due to issues with her three roommates. She recently went on vacation and when she returned to the apartment she found that her couch had been cut open in various places. She said her roommates may have done it due to the ongoing issues. Police advised her of her rights to obtain a Harassment Prevention Order.
May 29-
At 2:38 p.m. police responded to a Russell Street residence on a report of a past threat. The caller said she had been speaking to a man recently who she knows who told her he was unhappy in his marriage. The caller said she tried to convince him not to leave his wife and wasn’t having an affair with him.
The night before she received a text message from the man’s wife stating that she was unhappy the caller was talking to her husband. That morning she received a call from the wife’s sister stating that she was “messing with the wrong family” and that if she ‘cared about her life she would back off.” Police advised her of her rights to seek a complaint for threats or to get a Harassment Prevention Order. She said she would see if anything else happens.
At 3:27 p.m. police responded to a Spring CT Extension residence on a report of a past assault. The victim stated that about an hour ago she was beat up by two females while she was visiting a male friend on East Nichols Street. She said one of the woman was upset that the victim had texted her ex-boyfriend and that they chased her and beat her up. They continued until the male friend stopped them and they threatened to call the police.
The woman had scratches over her eye and some red marks. She also had a torn fingernail on her right hand pinky finger. The victim did not want to pursue the matter and policed advised her rights and said the report will be available if she decides to pursue the alleged assault.
