POLICE LOG: Vehicle Damaged in Hit-And-Run Accident, Missing Man Located

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
May 11-
A caller at Shaker Glen Village Apartments reported that when she went to her car that was parked in the lot overnight she found that it had damage to the driver and rear passenger door. A neighbor told her that they saw a vehicle backing out of an spot opposite her vehicle at approximately 1 a.m. The only description was it was a “big SUV”

At 7:47 p.m. police responded to Kilby Manor Apartments on a report of a missing person. The caller stated that her father left the apartment that morning to go for a walk and had not returned. He normally walks Woburn Center so it was unusual he was gone this long.
Police found a man matching his description in front of Woburn Courts. Police drove him home and reunited him with his family.
May 15-
At 9:16 a.m. police responded to the area of Applebees on a report of a crash. Police met parties exchanging paperwork. Police asked one of the men for his driver license and he said he didn’t have one. Police checked his information and found that his license was expired. When asked why he had not renewed he said he had not gotten around to it. Police issued a citation for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and told him he would receive a summons from the Woburn Court. He was also tld he cannot drive until he renews his license.
