POLICE LOG: Wallet Stolen From Counter, Mail Taken from Residence

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

May 22-

At 2:58 p.m. a Lawson Street caller reported a past theft of mail and medications. The caller said she was on vacation from May 12-19 as was her regular mailman, and her mail was not held. When she returned home she found only one day’s worth of mail. Most notably her blood pressure medication she was expecting was not there. The post office confirmed that deliveries had been made to her residence.

At 3:09 p.m. police responded to the Gulf Station at 322 Montvale Avenue on a report of a theft.

When police arrived they met with a male customer who said he wallet was stolen the day before. The surveillance video shows the man come into the store at 6:03 p.m., pay for items and leave his wallet on the counter. A female customer entered the store at 6:06 p.m. pay for her items and pick up the wallet before leaving.

The woman is described as white, heavy set, with long dark hair. She also had two children with her.

The victim said the wallet was worth about $400 and had $200 in cash inside along with his personal information items.
