Update: Arrest Made in Armed Robbery, School Lock-Down Lifted

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a variety store at knifepoint.

Update:

At about 11:25 a.m. police said over the scanner that an arrest had been made in relation to the armed robbery.

Police also said the lock-down of area schools could be lifted. According to the report the Malcolm White Elementary, Shamrock Elementary and Woburn Memorial High Schools were all on lock-down during the search.

Woburn Police are searching for a man who allegedly held up a variety store at 7 Prospect Street.

According to scanner and Twitter reports, police are searching for a Hispanic man who took off on foot towards High Street. The man reportedly held up the store at knife point.

We are also hearing that Woburn Memorial High School has been put on lock-down during the search.

Police have called in a K9 unit to help with the search.
