Scrabble Fun and Pajama Storytime at the Woburn Public Library

Five things to know today.

Today is Tuesday, August 6. Here are five things to know: 

1) Sunny and comfortable 

Looks like a nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies following some patchy morning fog with a high near 79 degrees. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 58. 

2) City Council 

Woburn City Council is meeting at 7 p.m. this evening in the Woburn City Hall, Council Chamber. Among the items on the agenda is a discussion of a new version of the Officer DeNapoli benefit bill. 

3) Word game fun 

The Woburn Public Library is holding a Scrabble session for children in grades 4-8 at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon. Come on down and sharpen your Scrabble skills and meet new people. 

4) Bedtime story 

The Woburn Public Library is also inviting children ages 4 and up to come to a Pajama storytime at 7 p.m. Kids can wear their PJs and listen to a story right before bedtime. 

5) Give the gift of life 

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Burlington American Legion, 162 Winn St. Do your part and donate today and give the gift of life.
