Thank You Northern Bank!

Expanding its support to low-income seniors and people with disabilities, Northern Bank came to Roxbury this week to donate $10,000 to Central Boston Elder Services (CBES), the highly regarded community institution serving 10,000 Boston-area older adults and individuals with disabilities. This early sponsorship by Northern Bank of the CBES October 25th “Care Unites Us” annual fundraising gala is applauded by Central Boston Elder Services staff members, clients and community members.

The CBES “Care Unites Us” fundraiser seeks to raise critically needed funds to meet rising needs as potential federal cuts to Medicaid loom and other public funding is also in jeopardy. CBES is reaching out now to all who can help to offset the unprecedented potential budget cuts that threaten the access of our older residents and younger people with disabilities to basic necessities such as housing, food and medicine. www.centralboston.org
