Toro Construction's Project Rescue
NEWPRO has closed down and all projects are canceled, affecting 100's across Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

NEWPRO Home Solutions - Who Were They?
NEWPRO Home Solutions was one of New England’s larger remodeling companies, serving homeowners across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. According to the Better Business Bureau, the company operated out of Woburn, MA, and handled a wide range of residential renovation projects for many years before its operations were abruptly halted.
Over time, NEWPRO grew into one of the larger remodeling providers in the region, employing several hundred people and completing high volumes of residential projects. PRWeb noted that the company had become a significant presence in New England’s home improvement market, which made its sudden shutdown especially disruptive for homeowners who depended on its active projects.
In June 2022, NEWPRO was acquired by Renovo Home Partners, a national home-services roll-up backed by private equity. PR Newswire reported that while the NEWPRO name remained in place, management and operational control shifted to Renovo. This detail became significant when Renovo later collapsed.
Before shutting down, NEWPRO offered the core remodeling services widely used across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, including window and door replacements, bath and shower conversions, and exterior work such as siding and roofing. According to Modernize, these programs served many homeowners in the region until operations were halted under Renovo’s ownership.
Renovo Home Partners - Who Were They?
Renovo Home Partners was a Dallas-based home remodeling platform created by Audax Group in 2021. According to BusinessWire, the company launched with the goal of acquiring strong regional remodelers and operating them under a single national structure while keeping their local brand identities. Renovo handled marketing, sales, customer service, and installation for its portfolio companies, positioning itself as a large-scale provider of direct-to-consumer home improvement services.
As the organization expanded, it continued adding well-established remodeling firms across the country. NEWPRO became one of its key New England brands after joining Renovo in June 2022, a move confirmed by PR Newswire. Around that time, Qualified Remodeler highlighted Renovo’s rapid growth as it built a national network of acquired home-services companies.
Industry analysis also emphasized the financial strategy behind Renovo’s expansion. Pro Remodeler noted that private equity played a central role in Renovo’s business model, which relied on acquiring regional remodelers, integrating them into a shared infrastructure, and scaling their operations through centralized management. While this structure allowed Renovo to grow quickly, it also created financial pressures that later contributed to its instability.
Renovo’s Bankruptcy

Renovo Home Partners filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in Delaware on November 3, 2025, along with its parent company, HomeRenew Buyer Inc. InForuptcy shows that the filing was a no-asset case, meaning Renovo did not plan to reorganize or resume operations. The bankruptcy came days after a sudden nationwide shutdown that halted work across all Renovo brands, including NEWPRO.
Financial records from the filing indicated that Renovo carried between 100 million and 500 million dollars in liabilities. This debt had grown during the company’s rapid acquisition strategy at a time when the home improvement market was slowing and financing costs were rising. Higher interest rates and reduced consumer spending placed additional pressure on Renovo’s need for steady revenue.
Reports also described significant internal challenges as Renovo tried to combine many independent remodeling companies into one operating system. These difficulties affected staffing, scheduling, and consistency across markets, which added more strain to the business. Renovo ultimately closed its doors without notice and terminated employees immediately, stating that liquidation was necessary to address its outstanding debts.
Warning signs had appeared well before the shutdown. Financial Advisor noted that BlackRock, Renovo’s largest private lender, downgraded the company’s debt to non-accrual in late 2024 and later reduced the value of its loan position to zero as Renovo approached bankruptcy.
How Renovo’s Bankruptcy Affected NEWPRO
When Renovo collapsed, the impact on NEWPRO was immediate. The company shut down operations in late October, several days before the bankruptcy filing, and active job sites across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire were left without crews. NBC Boston documented cases where workers received sudden instructions to stop work and return to the shop, leaving homeowners with open walls, removed windows, and partially completed rooms.
Homeowners felt the effects right away. Reports from Boston 25 News described properties left with unfinished installations, exposed interiors, and construction debris that was never retrieved. Many customers had already paid deposits or were mid-project with no further communication from the company.
Employees were also affected. Coverage from NBC Boston showed that NEWPRO staff were terminated without notice and lost their income and health insurance immediately. Workers described returning to the shop to find colleagues packing belongings and trying to understand what had happened.
The shutdown illustrated how quickly Renovo’s bankruptcy spread through its regional brands. NEWPRO’s customers were left with unsafe or incomplete projects, and its employees faced sudden financial and personal hardship.
