WEATHER UPDATE: Possible Thunderstorms in Woburn This Week
The Fourth of July weekend has come and gone, now weather forecasters are calling for possible thunderstorms this week.

The Fourth of July weekend has come and gone, and now weather forecasters are calling for possible thunderstorms in Woburn later this week.
Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The low on Monday night should drop to around 64 degrees.
Rain and another possible bout with thunderstorms will make their way into the region later this week, however. Beginning on Tuesday, weather forecasters expect showers and possible thunderstorms, lasting through Wednesday night.

Here’s your forecast for the first half of the week from the National Weather Service:
- Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
- Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight.
- Tuesday: Isolated showers, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Tuesday Night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
- Wednesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3 p.m. Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
- Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
