WOBURN, MA — Woburn City Council is due to select a new Ward 7 alderman Thursday to replace Lindsay Higgins.Higgins, an alderman since 2015 and the council's president since July, 2020, <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/woburn/woburn-city-council-president-higgins-steps-down">stepped down unexpectedly March 2</a>. Alderman Edward Tedesco was elected council president at the same meeting.The council solicited applications from candidates to fill the seat.
