Woburn Historical Society Hosting Singing Trooper Concert For Charity
Daniel M. Clark will perform next month with proceeds going to the Historical Society's Veterans Oral History Project.

WOBURN, MA — The Woburn Historical Society has announced that it will be hosting a benefit concert next month featuring Daniel M. Clark, known as the Singing Trooper.
The concert is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 21 at Woburn Memorial High School, located at 88 Montvale Ave. The show costs $15 for members of the Historical Society and $20 for non-members.
Proceeds from what is described as a "patriotic event" will benefit the Woburn Historical Society's Veterans Oral History Project, which is an effort to digitize 62 hours of interviews with Woburn veterans who served in WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam War and Gulf Wars.

Clark is a former Marine and Massachusetts State Police Trooper who has performed with the Boston Pops on a number of occasions and has sung the "Star-Spangled Banner" at Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins games, and at the Boston Marathon.
During his tenure with the State Police, which ended with his retirement in 2005, Clark performed at more than 2,500 events for federal, state and military functions. He also performed 25 foreign national anthems for visiting dignitaries.

According to the Woburn Historical Society, tickets can be purchased:
- Online through Eventbrite. A QR code on the Historical Society website also will take those interested in attending the event to the Eventbrite page.
- Through the mail. An order form is available online. It can be filled out and mailed with a check to Woburn Historical Society, PO Box 91, Woburn MA 01801.
- In person at the Historical Society's office at Burdett Mansion, located at 7 Mishawum Rd. The office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
