Woburn Library Ice Cream Social: Everything You Need to Know

Head to the Woburn Public Library this Sunday for an ice cream treat.

What's better in the heat of summer than a nice dish of ice cream?

How about some live entertainment and a chance to support the Woburn Public Library while enjoying your favorite flavor?

The Woburn Public Library is holding its third annual "Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social" on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.

The event will take place on the library lawn. Visitors can enjoy all the ice cream they can eat, provided by Whole Foods Market.

There will also be lawn games, music, bubbles, and more.

The cost is $5 per adult and $3 per child under 12. All proceeds benefit the Woburn Public Library Building Fund.

It looks like it could be a good, though overcast day, for the ice cream social. According to the National Weather Service there is a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon on Sunday. Otherwise it will be partly sunny and hot enough for ice cream at 83 degrees.

If the weather does turn bad the rain date is Sunday, August 4.
