Woburn Man Arrested Following Wilmington Manhunt
Kassan Germain faces gun and resisting arrest charges.

The second suspect who led Wilmington Police on a chase through a local neighborhood on Wednesday night has been arrested.
After an investigation, arrest warrants were obtained by the Wilmington Police Department at Woburn District Court for Kassan Germain, age 24 of 59R Water Street in Woburn for carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.

On Friday night at approximately 9:30 p.m. detectives from the Wilmington Police Department and detectives from the Woburn Police Narcotics Unit arrested Kassan Germain in the vicinity of 59R Water Street in Woburn near Horn Pond. Germain will be arraigned at Woburn District Court on Monday, Nov. 23.
Ahmauri Menard, 20 of 77A Bolton Street in Cambridge was arrested late Wednesday night following foot chase and and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and furnishing a false name and social security number following arrest.

Menard was arraigned at Woburn District Court on Thursay, Nov. 19.
On Wednesday Nov. 17 at about 8 p.m., the Wilmington Police Department responded to the parking lot of 260 Main Street, Market Basket, for the report of two males in a motor vehicle possibly smoking
marijuana. A Wilmington Police Officer arrived on scene and when he confronted the individuals, both men became evasive and one of the men set something on the wheel well of a motor vehicle parked in the area. When the police officer saw that the item was a gun, both men fled the scene on foot.
After a foot pursuit and lengthy search by officers from multiple local agencies, the Middlesex Sheriff’s Department and the Massachusetts State Police, Menard was located near Pine Street and Main Street by Wilmington K-9 Unit Officer Palmer and Ridic shortly before midnight.
