Woburn Police Warn Not To Approach Coyotes
The department has recently received reports about coyotes in the area.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn police warned not to approach or feed coyotes, following recent reports of coyotes active in the area.
"If you are approached by a Coyote you should yell, wave your arms, or throw something at them to scare them off," the police said. "Do not turn and run away as this may encourage the animal to chase you."
Attacks on people are very rare, the police noted, but small animals can be targeted.
