Woburn Resident to Run Half Marathon for Cancer Awareness

A Woburn man will run in a half marathon this weekend to raise cancer awareness in support of pediatric patient care and research at Dana-Farber.

Brendan Mccue is set to take part in the 15th annual Boston Athletic Association Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund on Saturday Oct. 11.

Mccue is set to run as a member of the official Dana-Farber team. The team has raised more than $5 million over the last 13 years. Each of the 450 runners on the team are expected to donate $750 each.

The run goes for 13.1 miles in total. It begins and ends at White Stadium in Boston’s Franklin Park.
