Woburn Singer Performs National Anthem At Red Sox Game
Renee Danielle Leavitt is a Woburn-based country musician. She returned to Fenway Park this week after a previous performance last year.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn’s Renee Danielle Leavitt was in Boston on Monday to sing the National Anthem at a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
The performance came immediately before the Red Sox took on the Tampa Bay Rays at home in one of their final games of the season.
Leavitt is a Woburn-based performer. She had already sang the National Anthem for the Red Sox just over a year ago, before this week’s appearance.

Outside of anthem duties, Leavitt heads the country act Renee and the Renegades. She launched that project in 2018, entering her latest chapter in a music career that dates back to her childhood.
Leavitt focuses on country music, boasting over a dozen original songs and earning radio airplay across New England and Ireland.

Leavitt has said on her website that her performance of the National Anthem for the Red Sox in 2021 remained one of her favorite memories.
She previously announced this latest gig on social media late last week.
“I’m so excited and I cannot wait to honor my country!” she said.
