Woburn Students Graduate from Champlain College

Congratulations to Gregory Burns and Michael Harron on their academic achievement!

ReadMedia- The Champlain College 135th Commencement took place outdoors, under a tent on Edmunds Field in Burlington on Saturday, May 4. In all, 470 undergraduates earned their degrees.

Vermont novelist and New York Times Bestseller, Chris Bohjalian delivered the Commencement address to degree candidates. George Chaffee, Vermont's captive insurance association founder, spoke on behalf of the two honorary degrees that were conferred. Bohjalian, received a Doctor of Fine Arts honorary degree; Chaffee, received a Doctor of Commerce honorary degree.

Champlain College President David Finney noted a long list of accomplishments that graduating students had already achieved while working, serving and playing at Champlain. "Over 50 percent of the graduating class will be starting jobs within their field of study in the next few weeks," he recognized.

Local students who received their degrees from Champlain College include:

  • Gregory Burns of Woburn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Digital Forensics with a possible specialization and/or minor.
  • Michael Harron of Woburn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design with a possible specialization and/or minor.
