Woburn's Annual Halloween Parade Returns Sunday

Now in its 61st year, the parade is expected draw over 80,000 people.

Woburn’s annual Halloween parade returns this weekend for its 61st celebration.

The event, which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, draws in excess of 80,000 people each year, hosting over 25 bands such as the University of New Hampshire, Mass Maritime, Waltham American Legion and many New England High Schools and local community bands.

More that 90 floats from local groups and organizations make it a true family event.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. at the intersection (rotary) of Rt. 38 and I-95 by the Woburn Cinema/Crowne Plaza, near exit 35 off of I-95. It will then head south on route 38 down Main Street and finish at the Woburn/Winchester Line.

The parade is a charity event with proceeds benefiting the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund and many local Woburn Host Lions Club charitable projects.
