Five Wrentham Residents Cross Boston Marathon Finish Line

Tragic Explosions Near Boston Marathon Finish Line Divert six of the 11 Wrentham Runners.

Of the 11 runners from Wrentham in this year's Boston Marathon, five crossed the finish line, according to the Boston Athletic Association.

The marathon was cut short when two explosions erupted near the finish line, killing at least two and injuring over 100, WHDH reported. Runners who had not yet crossed the finish line were diverted. The two explosions happened at approximately 2:50 p.m. as the race was about to enter it's sixth hour.

Wrentham residents Michael Cullinane, 48, Linda Liljeber, 52, Brian McGowan, 44, Justin McNamara 24 and Mary Regnier, 47 all finished the race.

After the explosion, runners were divert from the finish line.
