Gerry's Place Plans St. Patrick's Day Buffet

Hours wil be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Gerry’s Place, the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School student-run restaurant, will hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day buffet Thursday, March 14 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 The buffet menu includes the traditional St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage, as well as shepherd’s pie, Irish stew and many other culinary delights. The cost of the buffet is $8.95 for adults and $3.95 for children. Gerry’s Place will not take reservations for the buffet and it will be available on a first come, first served basis.

 Gerry’s Place is operated by students enrolled in Tri-County’s culinary arts program and four culinary arts instructors. Students of the program participate in menu planning, purchasing, preparation of food, table service and also receive ServSafe sanitation certification. The Tri-County culinary arts career program is accredited through The American Culinary Federation’s Access ACF program, which allows students to graduate as certified cooks upon passing a national exam.

The restaurant is open to the public Tuesday through Friday 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Gerry’s Place is closed Mondays, half days, any day when school is not in session and on days as announced. The Tri-County pastry display case will also be open during Gerry’s Place hours and offers a full assortment of seasonal baked goods for sale. 

Tri-County RVTHS, located at 147 Pond St., Franklin, is a recipient of the High Schools That Work Gold Achievement Award and serves the communities of Franklin, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Norfolk, North Attleboro, Plainville, Seekonk, Sherborn, Walpole and Wrentham.
