MI Rocker Blasts Republican Congressman Over Fake AI Video
The fake video showed the rocker telling Trump supporters not to listen to his music.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jack White blasted a Republican congressman Monday after he posted a fake AI video to social media of the rocker yelling at Trump supporters.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) posted the fake video, which shows White (in a disguised voice) telling Trump supporters not to listen to his music.
"Don’t even think about listening to my music, you fascists," the four-second fake video said in someone else’s voice.

Burchett captioned the post with, "That cute little girl from the Addams Family got really ugly and angry."
White wasted no time and blasted the congressman in an Instagram post.

"Can you believe that a U.S. congressman, that’s right, a CONGRESSMAN (from my state no less), a once hallowed and respected position in our society, would repost an AI generated video, containing a false comment that I never said and refuted (without researching that I might add) and like a 10- year-old on a playground, add to it attempted insults to my physical appearance," White said.
He added, "Tennessee deserves better Mr. Burchett, but you and your cult are too dug in and blinded to even realize it."
White also slammed President Donald Trump's government, calling it "embarrassing."
"Neither [Trump] nor his sycophantic congressmen and women manifest class or dignity, they all just regurgitate cheap, childish, grade school bullying points and fake Christian(!) rhetoric," White said.
This is not the first time White has publicly called out Trump. He also criticized Trump for his comments on Rob Reiner’s death, calling the president a "disgusting, vile, egomaniac loser, child."
The White Stripes, which White founded alongside Meg White, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year. The rock duo last performed together in 2009 and officially broke up in 2011. However, Jack White still releases music and tours as a solo artist.
