Three teens are in trouble after they led police on a chase in a stolen car​ over Memorial Day weekend, Berkley police confirmed to Patch.

BERKLEY, MI — Three teens are in trouble after they led police on a chase in a stolen car over Memorial Day weekend, Berkley Police confirmed to Patch.

Police said officers tried stopping the car for a traffic violation on along Greenfield Road on May 28 at 2:30 a.m. when the car sped away.

The car, which police said was reported stolen roughly a half hour before the chase, eventually came to dead end and three teens got out and ran away, police said.

Dash cam and body cam footage showed officers using K-9 units chasing the teens through a residential neighborhood.

One teen was found by Lathrup Village officers, and K-9s found the other two teens hiding nearby, police said. The teens were ages 13, 15 and 16, police said.

Police said they're meeting with the teens' parents and may send possible charges over to the prosecutor's office for review.

Police were still investigating the incident.
