Oakland County Parks and Recreation staff is thanking veterans for their service by inviting all service members, active or retired, to "enjoy the beautiful fall day in your honor, on the links."
Service members can play any one of these five Oakland County Parks golf courses on Veterans Day (Nov. 11):
- Red Oaks Golf Course, 29600 John R. Road, Madison Heights; 248-541-5030.
- White Lake Oaks Golf Course, 991 Williams Lake Road, White Lake; 248-698-2700
- Glen Oaks Golf Course, 30500 Thirteen Mile Road, Farmington Hills; 248-851-8356
- Lyon Oaks Golf Course, 52251 Pontiac Trail, Wixom; 248-437-1488
- Springfield Oaks Golf Course, 12450 Andersonville Road, Davisburg; 248-625-2540
Military personnel purchasing a round of golf will also receive a $10 golf coupon valid for green fees on a future visit during the 2012 season. Servicemen and women must provide proof of service.
